Activities and RecreationWoodlands Senior Park offers professional Therapeutic Recreation Services through a structured program of activities adapted and designed to meet the physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs and interests of all residents in accordance with applicable state licensing codes. In addition to the ever-popular traditional bingo and table games, Woodlands Senior Park offers daily morning exercises, active games focusing on both the upper and the lower body, outdoor walks around the beautiful grounds, intellectual stimulation through current events discussion, word-games and story reading. We also initiate community integration through outings to local worship services and dining establishments, coordinate regular visitations from volunteers, spiritual providers, entertainers, pet therapists and school children. We provide sensory stimulation through our adapted gardening program and social events including happy hour and birthday parties. Residents receive support and encouragement to take self-initiative to engage in independent activities as well as to participate in structured activities. Our goal is to encourage and assist each resident to maintain and increase their personal independence thereby enhancing their quality of life to their maximum level. Volunteers make a significant contribution to our program and we encourage individuals or groups interested in volunteering to contact our Volunteer Coordinator at (920) 922-8770 extension 303 or email at Charlie Pratt, our Therapeutic Recreation Director. We match your talents, interests, and schedule to our needs so that your volunteer experience is mutually beneficial, and satisfying for everyone involved. “One never knows the extent to which one affects the lives of others”.
